Explore the Local Area

The area is being developed to ensure it is accessible to all who would like to enjoy exploring the countryside.

A number of existing footpaths in the area link up with the Trent Vale Trail.

Many of these are being opened up to provide circular walks of typically 4 to 7 miles.

Explore and help to develop the Greener Greenways project in your area along the Trent Vale route.

Develop a wildlife corridor along the route, by opening up sections to allow wildlife to thrive, the introduction of habitats such as wildlife boxes, wildflowers and finally doing such actions for the local community and schools to experience and enjoy.

Join the community group to take this to the next level.

FAMILY OUTINGS

Why not bring out your family to explore the wildlife of the Trent Vale. Look out for the badgers, the deer, the black sheep or the squirrels. Even some birdwatching can be great fun for all the family.

While out bring a picnic and sit by one of the lakes.

After a nice walk through by the lake, or a jog through the park, why not visit one of the local venues for a drink or some lunch.

Alternatively pick up a picnic in one of the local shops.

Collingham has a number of lovely pubs and coffee shops.

There are many great places to stay along the Trail and these could be a good base from which to explore the wider area.
