The trail starts at Newark Northgate Station, which has regular rail connections. Newark is served by trains from Nottingham, Lincoln, Doncaster and beyond. Check National Rail for timetables.

PARKING

Newark town centre has several public car parks near the station.

Collingham and Besthorpe villages have limited roadside parking.

South Clifton has informal parking near the trail end at Coal Yard Lane.

  • Suitable footwear - surfaces are good but some sections may be muddy after heavy rain

ACCESSIBILITY

The trail is mostly flat and suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs, though there are gates at various points and one steeper section over Clifton Hill near South Clifton. If you have specific accessibility questions, please use our contact form.
